Everyone gets involved at St Edward's!
29 January 2025
We have been trying new ways to involve the children in the congregation so they really feel welcome at St Edward's. This can include them taking the offertory, helping out with taking the Elements as well as sharing their work at the end of the service. This weekend we tried to be even more inventive with our youngest bellringers giving it a go! As you can see from their faces they loved the experience.
Table Top Sale is a roaring success!
28 January 2025
What a fantastic turnout on Sunday for the Mini Table Top sale at St Edward's. We are currently fundraising for the church roof, and with contributions from the congregation we were able to run a Mini Table Top Sale after our services at the weekend.
Thank you to everyone who came and spent money, as well as those that donated things to buy! We raised a whopping amount - just short of £500!
We have twinned out Toilet
13 January 2025
If you pop to spend a penny at our Church in the Market Place - you will see an unusual photo in the toilet. To support the aims of our Eco Church Team we have twinned our toilet with a latrine in Nepal. You will see the photo of the toilet in our loo! In all seriousness, the principle of toilet twinning is you choose a toilet you use and twin it with one given to a community who are in need of safe places to go to the toilet. The money we have raised not only funds a toilet, but also helps support community education and sanitation programmes.

We dropped the gifts to Tropical ward and then created a display board of some letters written by people in the community who sent good wishes to children who are in hospital. Charlotte and I, plus all the team at Lennox, are so grateful for all the support you and everyone at St Edwards have given to us this year and hope to continue this into 2025. We all wish you a wonderful Christmas and all the best for the New Year. Warmest regards, Fiona Fraser, Community Engagement Officer
